A forgotten space brought back to life as a vibrant community hub in the heart of Carlisle’s historic district.
The McClellan Place — Today
Built by Local Hands
In 2014, founders Eric Storms and Kathleen Calvert set out to transform a condemned building in the heart of Carlisle’s historic district.
Working hand-in-hand with skilled local contractors—including Bradley Eyler of Eyler Mechanical—they brought new life to the forgotten space.

The Super Cool Moon Bird Mural
Today, highlighted by the super cool Moon Bird mural, the property has been reimagined as a vibrant community hub featuring a micro-distillery, brick-oven pizzeria, live music venue, and art gallery. Moon Bird’s mission is simple: to create a wonderful local gathering place where exceptional craft spirits, Neapolitan pizza, and art come together.
